Tips for a Budget Friendly Christmas Party for Small Businesses

Christmas parties are a great time to get people together for a fun year-ender celebration to remember. For businesses, it’s a time to show employees how appreciated and valued they are in the company and a way to get to know them better outside the office setting.

Organising a company Christmas party is not that easy. There are plenty of things to consider like the budget, the theme, the food, etc. and for sure, there isn’t one magic solution that would make everyone happy.

Here are a few low budget Christmas party ideas for your next end of year celebration.

1. BBQ Christmas party
Invest in a nice barbecue and make this year’s Christmas party BBQ-themed. The great thing about this is you can reuse the BBQ for future office parties as well.

2. Christmas picnic
Do you have a nice park conveniently located across or near your office? Consider having a Christmas picnic with the staff and get everyone to bring something for sharing. Of course, the company would still shoulder the more expensive stuff like meat dishes, but having everyone bring a plate would decrease the expenses considerably.

3. Lunch party
Dinner parties are more expensive, so a Christmas party at breakfast or lunch time is another option to consider.

4. House party
House parties are always fun, so if a staff member can host one in his home, it would also be a good idea to have it there and just arrange for transportation for everyone. This would eliminate the need to rent a place out and get charged by the hour.

5. Local restaurant party
High end restaurants and bars are elegant and great for Christmas parties. But they can also be ridiculously expensive. There are cheaper alternatives like local restaurants which are more budget-friendly and would greatly appreciate the business companies would bring to them if they hold their parties at the establishment.
