Great news folks! If you’re a small business wanting to make a video ad for the longest time, YouTube is making it easy for you to do JUST THAT!
According to Top Tech News, Google’s YouTube unveiled three video creating services, which aims users and/or businesses to create an entire video in the palm of their hands via their smartphones.
These services are namely: the YouTube Director for Business iPhone app, YouTube Director On-site and YouTube Director Automated Video. In the report, YouTube’s owner Google said that these new product suites will make it easier for people to craft video ads even without prior experiences.
Over the recent couple of years, more and more people are watching videos through YouTube instead on the traditional television. With this data, many businesses are tapping this video-sharing platform to advertise their business via the use of video commercials.
In fact, the report said that the amount of time people has spent watching videos online; YouTube in particular, rose to 50 percent compared to last year.
YouTube Product Manager Max Goldman said, “Whether it’s for entertainment, indulging a passion, or discovering something new, more people are turning to YouTube to watch video,”
He added that “Now, more than ever, businesses can connect with their customers through video advertising on YouTube.”
But we come with both good news and slightly bad news.
YouTube iPhone App
With the good news, the YouTube iPhone app is free to download.
The bad news; it’s only available for iPhones and only for customers based in the U.S or Canada.
According to Google, the app will allow the user to craft video ads for their small businesses fairly quickly even by themselves.
The procedure to create the ad is very simple, as the app provides small business owners with more than 100 templates to choose from. Once the user selects the template of their choice, a step-by-step instruction will show how to create a video, as well as tips on how to frame a shot or what to say and how.
In fact, you can consider it as some sort of an assistant director of sorts. It does all the planning, you do the work.
Moreover, the YouTube Director iPhone app also includes nifty features such as being able to add voiceovers, include a soundtrack or create a custom text animation. And once finished, the user can now get in touch with Google AdWords experts for tips on how to run their video campaign on YouTube.
YouTube Director On-site
If you want to add more flair to your video, you may opt to avail YouTube’s Director On-site Service, which will provide users professional filmmakers that will help them shoot and edit their video, if those said users spend more than $150 to advertise on the video sharing platform.
However, the service is only available in select U.S. cities such as Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington DC, but Google said that it will be made available to more cities soon.
YouTube Director Automated Video
As for the YouTube Director Automated Video, it will create video ads automatically from existing materials such as logos, app screenshots in the App Store or Google Play Store. This particular service is available globally, unlike the first two.
The Internet really is making things easier for everyone to compete. With YouTube’s latest video service, small businesses can now create videos on par with the big businesses.
