2016 Entrepreneur New Years Resolutions

new years resolution

As 2015 draws to a close, take a step back and reflect on the progress of your business in the past year. This will help you plan for the incoming year and the improvements you want your business to develop.

What are the changes you would like to see in your business in 2016? These New Year’s resolutions should go to the top of an entrepreneur’s  to-do list next year.

Set attainable goals

How many of the goals you’ve set this year have given you success? If a lot of them caused you stress instead of success, you need to change your strategy and in 2016, set more realistic goals that are achievable.

Promote the business

Be consistent when it comes to promoting your business. It should be an ongoing process because it’s a great way to attract new customers. If you must, hire a marketing team to help you promote. Otherwise, make time to draft a marketing plan and follow through.

Delegate tasks

How much of your private life have you had to sacrifice this year to take care of your business? In 2016, learn to delegate tasks and let others do the work for you for a change. It’s the key to a healthy work-life balance.

Learn something new

It could be business-related or not, it’s entirely up to you. The idea is for you to add to your existing skills and get into something you can add as a point of interest either in your personal or your professional life.

Make time for yourself

How? By delegating, remember? Do something that can help you relax and recharge so you can step out of your “all work no play” schedule. Invest in yourself above everything else so you will have renewed energy once you step back into the business game.

Join new groups

Widen your network by joining new business organisations with other entrepreneurs who can help you make new contacts, inspire new ideas, and refine old processes.

Move on

Which products or methods failed this year despite your best attempts to make them work? Learn to let go and move forward so ineffective techniques don’t hold you back from realising your business’ full potential.

Commit to making your business more successful in 2016 by increasing your productivity and achieving a healthier work-life balance with these New Year’s resolutions. Good luck!
