How Small Businesses In Australia Can Attract Millennial Market

Millennials have been seen under a negative light in the past years, specifically in business matters. Even though they have received such image, do not let this deceive you.

Millennials are people aged 19 to 35 this year and their age phase of being adults, going to adulthood and those who are “adulting.” According to the Pew Research Center, there are more millennials now than other age groups.

These millennials also have the buying power you will not expect, an estimated $2.45 trillion in 2015. Now with all that information, it is time to think twice. As a businessman, you will want and need them, especially if yours is a small business.

Here are ways on how to attract these millennials to your small business.

1. Go Mobile

Millennials are solid mobile users. They use their smartphones more than their desktop computers to access the Internet, thus business websites should be responsive and if possible, have an app. When the business has an app, it will be easier for millennials to access the business than opening a separate window on a browser.

2. Facebook is the place to be

This social media app is one of the most popular and has a huge number of users. Facebook is a good place to market the business and whenever millennials get interested in a business, they search it on Facebook. If the business already has a Facebook page, make sure to update it from time to time and provide offers to catch their attention.

3. Reviews are a must have

Reviews are a crucial part of the business success. Why? Reviews can help the business look credible, real and provides legitimate purchases. Take note, millennial or not, everybody relies on reviews to know if the service is good or not.

4. Provide offers

Millennials love to shop with deals and discounts. Well, who does not, right? Place witty offers on Facebook and website to see if you can get their attention. Email can be a good substitute for this.

5. Have a mission

Millennials look at a business that believes in doing good and contributes to society. Team up with a local non-profits organization to get the word out. This will not only get the attention of people, the business will also be able to help a local community, which is priceless. A business should not only be good to the community, but also to employees. Millennials find ways to know if the business is treating their employees right. Another way is participating in events; this can create social media content and attention.

Getting the attention of millennials can be hard with all the big businesses in the game, but it will not become that hard anymore if businessmen will get the right mindset. With all these, business brokers Victoria should be true to their business. Add credibility and trust by partnering with the local community and being good to employees. Finally, have offers on Facebook and a website that is mobile-friendly and responsive.
