Trendy Home Design Ideas for 2017

People always say whenever the New Year is approaching; they need to get prepared to start anew or fresh. In relation to real estate, this can be the time to de-clutter, organize and remodel their homes to have a touch on their homes before 2017.

According to the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), Americans will spend a whopping $31.2 billion to remodel 1.8 million kitchens and 2.5 million bathrooms. This indicates a growing number of homeowners to remodel their homes. But in 2017, some experts predict that this number will increase.

A lot of homeowners are being inspired by emerging trends that can help them achieve their dream homes, to complement their styles or fit their everyday lifestyle to their homes. Here are the top five trendy home design ideas for 2017.

Opening spaces by removing walls and optimising the flow of a home is being considered as one of the major factors why homeowners are remodeling their homes. By doing this, a free-flowing home is created. This supports a communal living, a space that requires being open and versatile.

It does not matter if it is the shower in the master bath or whoever’s shower room, a shower that has multiple sources of water and functions are becoming a trend. These kinds of showers add a touch of luxury and sophistication and at the same time with functionality.

Today, homeowners, designers, and remodelers are spending the time to provide solutions on how to place lighting so that artificial light can blend with natural light. For 2017, a lot of homeowners will see a number of homes that are going to increase the size of their windows to a ceiling-to-floor size. Expect also to see window options that are paired with unique, attention-grabbing designs in light fixtures.

Not only will stainless steel and chrome make it into the list, there are also other specialty finishes that will make it to many homes in 2017. Experts predict that the most popular ones are satin black, tumbled bronze and rose gold.

On the floor or on the wall, tiles have been the number one choice in remodeling houses, specifically kitchens and bathrooms. But in 2017, more homeowners are going to use uniquely-designed tiles in unusual ways. An example of this is using unique tiles to have a quirky room design or to mimic textures.

After mentioning all these, residential property broker victoria should pay attention to these trends in case there are houses that need remodeling before selling. Houses that are remodeled with these trends can add value and demand to the homes being sold in the market.
